RBC Consulting Group is different from other consulting or advisor groups. RBC has a team of advisors that specialize in all fields of planning. Our strategy when we first meet with clients, is to do an in-depth discovery session to learn more about our clients and their financial planning history. This strategy allows us to learn the clients previous financial planning experience, their risk tolerance, and decisions that affect their needs and goals. It is important to RBC to align our clients goals with their financial planning needs. We take information learned during discovery, and put together a customizable personal financial plan using financial tools to meet individual client needs. Most advisors working for a big company or bank are expected to utilize cookie cutter financial tools pushed by leadership or stock holders. We don’t. Our independence and private ownership allows us the opportunity to truly customize a plan for our clients. At RBC, no two plans are the same.

Matthew Cochran is wonderful to work with. His knowledge, ability to explain clearly to the layman, and patience is so comforting. I was nervous about moving my Retirement account away from someone I had been with for 15 years, but he allayed my fears without trying to convince me that he was a better option. He provided the facts of his recommendations, which were truly so much better than what I currently had. He is honest, and I feel, trustworthy. We live on opposite sides of the country, making it impossible to meet in person. We did a zoom meeting, where everything was explained. Afterwards, between emails and phone calls, he helped me complete my paperwork so that I could transfer accounts. Prior to my discussions with Matt, I was very concerned about outliving my retirement income. I’ve known Matt in a variety of capacities over the years. Matt is efficient, detail oriented and very knowledgeable. He was very reliable and punctual in each meeting we have had. Matt is a tremendous asset to any situation with his knowledge and understanding of annuities, financial planning, health care and life insurance/final expense.
Matthew Cochran was a clear choice for our annuity. First, he played baseball with our youngest son at Belmont Abbey college. Belmont Abbey is a great catholic college with very high moral standards. Our son personally knew Matthew, and said he was “very smart" and a “super honest" guy. Secondly, Matthew works with a good friend of ours that we have known for over 30 years. Matthew was highly recommended by this close friend, whom we dearly trust. Thirdly, Matthew's specialty is annuities. He found us an annuity that was "exactly" what we were looking for (LTC Rider). Other companies were trying to sell us their annuities that were close, but not exactly what we needed. He exhibited traits such as honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. It was an enjoyable experience working with Matthew, and we highly recommend him to other people.
